The topic: This might not be a very bright move

----------------------------------------------

But I’ve had it with the Gateway.  I love the machine, but it’s been years since I did a reformat.  So, that’s what I’m doing right now.

Keep your fingers crossed that all goes smoothly.  I’m really tired of it crashing.

The three webcams that run on that system should be back up sometime tomorrow.

We found a penny on our walk this morning

The topic: KittyMeezer

----------------------------------------------

Well, it seems like he’s back for a while.  NotWally hasn’t been around in weeks.

For a couple of months, we rarely saw KittyMeezer and towards the end of that couple of months, we never saw him at all.  We’d know he’d been here because there was a minute amount of cat food eaten during the night or day.  A little can of Fancy Feast took twenty-four hours to disappear.

I saw him occasionally on the house down on the corner, a place that has a large amount of juniper bushes at the side of the house, a place that feral cats called home for many years (until the bunwad started setting out traps and taking the cats to be euthanised).  He’d come out from under the juniper in the middle of the day and stretch out in the sun.

But within the past couple of weeks, he’s back here. Full time.  And for a couple of days, he was ravenous, not getting enough to eat, no matter how many cans of food we’d put out.  I finally put some of the Kirkland brand dry cat food out for him and he likes that.  That helped.

Anyway, last Friday, he was on the front bank, soaking in the sun.  I got a picture of him doing so.

It's good to have him back.

The topic: Well, duh

----------------------------------------------

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier.

The officecam is now positioned over the cat food feeder.  Looking down on the dry food.  The cats empty this feeder before they empty the feeder in the dining room.

Cats gotta eat, y’know?

The topic: Lisa update: YAY!

----------------------------------------------

She’s put on four ounces in two weeks.  And her mouth looks real good.  No more trips to the vet for this problem!  The vet said there’s not much left in her mouth for the immune system to attack.  *grin*

She will be on a maintenance dosage of prednisone to keep the problem at bay, but I think as long as she gets a pill pocket, she won’t care.

Did I mention how she reacts when she hears me opening a pill bottle?  She jumps out of her chair and comes over to me, waiting for her meds.

Oh, wait, not her meds, but for a yummy treat.  A Pill Pocket.  I highly recommend these for cats who are hard to medicate.  Not all cats like them, though.  But enough like them in our household to make them a must have.

Anyway, she’s home and she’s happy.
