The topic: We went to Disneyland last Saturday

----------------------------------------------

and spent the night at the Anabella Hotel.  We’d talked about going up late one Saturday afternoon, going over to Tortilla Joe’s and knocking back a few margaritas, then heading over to Disneyland.  Then just come home in the morning, not go to the parks or breakfast, just come home.

Like we used to do.  Well, we did that Saturday.  After checking into the hotel, we had to wait at the stoplight and I noticed how cool the sun looked.  It was low in the sky and I could actually glance at it without frying my eyes.  And I fumbled with my camera, got it out and shot a few pictures.  I was surprised how nice this one came out.

Do you walk from Anabella or is there a shuttle? Tell me what you like about it. We booked a trip in December, my favorite CCI was to expensive this time so I booked Ramada Maingate for $98 a night plus $50 gas card. Have you ever stayed there? Any thoughts are appreciated from one cat loving, disney loving girl to another! wink
Gorgeous shot btw.

We walked. It probably takes ten minutes. Just walk up to the Grand, through the Grand to DTD, then to the parks.

I like the price (it was $108 for a Casita Suite, which included parking - the base price before room tax, etc was $84 and change), it’s clean and it’s not really that big of a deal to walk to the parks.  For the money, it’s a lot better value than any of the Disney Hotels.  For the longest time, we only stayed on property, then one year booked the Anaheim Hilton for one night, then the next time tried the Anabella and we’ve been there ever since.

If you book through them, you have 72 hours to cancel with no penalty, they’ll price match anything you can find on the internet (I do check). They’ve got specials for old farts (fifty and over).

For our trip next month, we got the room, the Concierge Suite, for $115 a night.
