The topic: Spoiled child

----------------------------------------------

That's me. Remember the Olympus camera I got last month, the one I got instead of the Canon?

Last Monday, my Canon 40D was delivered.  I got it on eBay, it came with some lenses and other stuff.  I got it from the same seller who sold me my Canon Powershot Pro1.

I absolutely LOVE this camera (I’d probably love it even more if my thumb was normal).  I ordered a couple of more lenses from eBay, got the Macro lens yesterday, still waiting on the zoom lens.  The response time of this camera is phenomenal.  Not at all like the other digitals I’ve had where there’s a lag time between hitting the button to take the picture and the picture being taken.

Here are a couple of pictures I’ve taken with it, there are more over on the photo album site, both in the Pets and Miscellaneous (yard) sections (check the EXIF information for the camera that took the photograph).

I’m just thrilled to death with this camera.  All along, my frustration with digital cameras has been the response time.  I am absolutely amazed with this one.  So much to learn.

Ah, the part of my father that was passed on to me.  The love of photography.  One of the things I found during the cleanup at mom’s was his embosser for his little photography company.  I kept it, it’s right here on my desk.  I might use it in his memory.

Now, if my thumb would just feel better.

wow wonderful pictures I feel like i could reach out and touch them!
Poncho looks so different from when you first grabbed him! Has his attitude improved any? Did you ever get him “fixed”? Just wondering as he is such a sweet looking little guy!

P.S. know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily as you struggle to adjust to your mothers passing.

Great photos! That’s the camera I want but can’t afford right now.
My dad passed away May 6, my mom and him have been together since she was 17, she’s 70. I pray that the pain you feel and I feel lessens with time but we hold on to our memories forever.

Nice photos! After recently buying a Nikon DSLR camera I can really appreciate good quality photos. Yours are great.

These are great photos, thank you for sharing them.  I would love to get a camera like that, but house things come first for now.  When your thumb is better, maybe you could add the new cats to your page of kitties.  The last one added was captain, and that is just a photo.

Bobby is such a gorgeous cat, the recent pictures you took were great.
Pancho looks like he is trying to ask you a question, and that Phoebe, she is such a cutie.  You have some great fur-kids.
