The topic: Ponderance

----------------------------------------------

Could someone explain why people I just met who are in my age group (mid-fifties) look old to me and people I’ve known forever that are in my age group don’t?

Interesting ‘ponderance’...as I am in my mid 50’s and don’t look my age, I even got carded a couple of weeks ago. It is very hard for me to see ppl our age and not wonder what kind of life they led to get them to look so old?? As far as ‘friends’, most of mine are way younger than me, so I have nothing to compare it to except ppl I see/meet.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the fact I don’t look my age…I certainly don’t look anywhere near being carded age though…LOL

I’ve seen people my age who look older and my friends, like you said, who are my age look young.  Maybe it’s the perspective of knowing someone vs. not.  Kind of like how when you first learn a new geographical area it looks so new and strange and then after several months or several trips it seems to look so different.
