The topic: It’s TUMMY TUESDAY #85!

----------------------------------------------

An unfamiliar tummy presents itself this morning; it’s Mystie Maggie!  Caught on her back in a cat bed in the family room window.

I’ll keep this picture in my head as I sit in a jury room, hoping that I don’t get called for a trial and won’t be called for another couple of years.

If you’ve got a Tummy Tuesday blog entry, feel free to post the link in the comment section or trackback to this entry. And if you put a link back to this page, then more kitties will get to show off their tummies!

Wow, wondered why you were up so bright and early.  Jury duty…fun, fun!  Mystie Maggie is very pretty.

Have fun with your duty. In a way you should be glad you are in a country where such democratic processes are possible. I would cherish it. (In fact, I cherish my duty to go and vote so much I’m now an active member of a political party and even ran for elections last year..)

This week’s TT in the House of Chaos features (again) the indomitable Franky and his sleeping habits.

Re: jury duty.  I reported and was sent to a courtroom with ninety-nine other potential jurors. Which indicates a major trial.  Was in the second fifty to go into the courtroom, couldn’t claim hardship for a three week trial with deliberation time not included in that three weeks.  Had it been two week later, I could, we’re going on vacation.

But when I found out what the trial was about, there’s no way I could serve on it.

My mom was a naturalized American citizen, she went through proper channels to get here and we were in a horrible accident when I was sixteen (we were hit by a drunk driver who ran a stop sign).  He died and I ended up in the hospital with a broken back. I don’t have sympathy for careless or reckless drivers. Some sort of health problem, like a stroke or heart attack, yes, I’d have sympathy, but not for someone who’s knowingly breaking the law.

We had to fill out this long questionnaire and we go back on Thursday to see if we’ve been chosen or released.  If they stupidly choose me, I’ll have to double check the dates, because we’re out of here the last week of May.

I used to get called up for jury duty, was picked for a trial but always was weeded out. I always got off serving cause of profession (prior and current), religious beliefs (don’t like nondrinkers for a drunk driving trial), and one time cause my back hurt. Although if I hadn’t been disqualified for the back, I would have been disqualified cause of my profession.

You have compelling reason to be disqualified. They do tend to start with a large jury pool cause so many get disqualified or can’t serve for other reasons. Here’s hoping you luck out and get out of it. Your kitties need you home.

Meowza shows off his tummy again.
