The topic: I just had lunch

----------------------------------------------

A sandwich of turkey, cheese, lettuce and avocado on whole wheat bread.  I shared sliced turkey with the cats and left a little avocado in the shell, scraped it up and put it on the floor.

It’s time like this I miss Handsome.  He’d have been all over that avocado.  The only cats who showed any interest at all in it were Lorelei, Rory and Ron Howard.

*sigh*

Cats really do have varied tastes in food.  We have 2 (brother and sister) who love cocktail peanuts.  We found that out the hard way one evening when Roger left an open can on the coffee table and returned to find peanuts all over the floor and the cats munching out on them.

I miss seeing your Handsome boy, too.

My Mr. Nicholas loved tomatos, but no one else here will eat them like he did.
They leave us some strange and wonderful memories, don’t they?

Awww…Handsome would have looked so cute with avocado all over his face, I miss that guy.

How on earth do you share turkey with your large gang?

My guys swarm me so bad I dread pulling out the lunchmeat.  And they’re so rude they are right in my face trying to eat my food.  Back when I used to eat french fries, if I didn’t shove a whole fry in my mouth at once, the cats would grab the end sticking out of my mouth and yank and run, or worse, sit on my chest pretending we were in a scene from Lady and the Tramp.  Yuck.

Hmmmm,

My guys only like fresh meat, some greenies for cats and super premium dry kibble…. even my outdoor kitties are fussy now…. but they have a right to the best possible stuff!

Oh, and they go mad for grass….. one of my indoor guys will make a bolt outdoors… and heads straight for the longest stems of grass available…. All I have to do to get him to follow me inside again is to grab a few handfuls and wave them towards him and then he races me back inside (the ones I hold for his majesty Casey are his favourites!)

I miss your Handsome boy too… I first started visiting your site in January 2006, my 19 year old black baby Sammy passed on December 28th 2005, and I needed a kitty fix, and I cried on finding your cat family list to realise what the asterix’s meant… I read all about the guys & really can’t thank you enough for all that you, your site and your various kitties and cat cams helped me with - and you are in part respnonsible for a lot of my Kitty rescue pratices here in the land of Oz. (I originally found your site looking for a viable cat encloser method and stayed to fall in love with your site!)

Thanks Lisa Violet

Oh and for a little smile:

The youtube was cute, but people should be oh-so-very, very careful with cats around coolers! Some of those close and cannot be opened by the cat.
(Know it was not your cat or cooler, but never hurts to just warn everyone when you can smile )

You’re so right, Bobbie. Remember Linda G lost a cat that way?

DH uses a cooler for his lunch, but it’s put up in the pantry except when I’m putting his lunch in it.

What a horrible, horrible way to for a cat to die.
