You know, http://www.woot.com. I have lots of fun there. Well, last year they added a new section, http://shirt.woot.com.
I never paid too much attention to it, then somehow started checking out what they had for sale each day. It’s interesting, they have derbies and people send in their idea for the current set of rules, then those designs are voted on by the members. And the top three become shirts.
Same deal as woot.com, one shirt a day. It’s ten bucks, no shipping or an additional five dollars for overnight shipping. They sell a set amount the first day. Unlike woot.com, after midnight, you can order the previous day’s shirt for fifteen dollars. A portion of these sales go to the designer. And the top twenty sellers keep getting sold. When a shirt drops off of the top twenty, it’s gone for good.
Except during the random shirt sell offs. For $6.66 each, per account, you can buy up to three random shirts. The thing is, you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it.
I’ve got two woot accounts because some of the stuff they sell, I want more than three of. Like the screaming Woot monkeys that are occasionally sold during a woot-off. Or the mini kites. The cheaper stuff makes great little gifts.
Well, I got my six shirts from last week’s random shirt sale and I’m pretty happy with this batch, more so than the last few. Some I liked, but didn’t like enough to buy at the time or I had already recently gotten a shirt and just couldn’t justify another one so soon. Anyway, here are the ones that were delivered this morning:
