The topic: One of the things about the aging process

----------------------------------------------

is experiencing things for the first time in your life.  Stuff you’ve heard about, but never had the pleasure.

I believe last night, I started to experience my first bladder infection.  Not a fun thing at all.  I have much more empathy for the cats now, when they’ve got their infections.

It was a miracle when I only had to go every four minutes.  Of course, the minute I suspected something was wrong, I started pouring water down my throat and didn’t eat anything, so the fluids were going right through, I’m sure that didn’t help.  We don’t have any cranberry juice, we do have cranberry juice cocktail, but that wasn’t what I wanted. Brian does have cranberry supplements, so I started taking those.  And doing some research, I read that the bladder lining is inflamed and that’s one of the reasons it’s so uncomfortable (somehow that word is just not strong enough, this was beyond uncomfortable).  So, I took a naproxin around midnight, finally was able to fall asleep (on the sofa) and about every half hour I’d wake up and have to go.

It’s a lot better this morning.  If it doesn’t clear up in a couple of days, though, I will go see a doctor.  Don’t want it affecting my kidneys.

In her spare time, she makes pretty things to sell in her store.
