The topic: I hope they needed it more than me

----------------------------------------------

I found a recipe in one of my AllRecipe.com cookbooks for a dish called “Mexican Lasagna”.  It looked good, I needed a couple of things to round it out.  I don’t have much cash and I grabbed one of the hundreds my mom gave me.

I got what I needed at the grocery store, plus a few other items and the total was $52.00 and change.  He hands me the paper money and receipt and the change comes out of one of those change things.  I put the change in my pocket.  I get out to the car and realize I don’t have the paper money. Forty-seven dollars worth of paper money.  I retrace my steps.  It’s gone.  Nobody turned it in.

I hope whoever found it needs it more than I do.

Oh shoot! I hate that, and know how you feel. It’s happened to me.
I’d still call the store tomorrow, Just In Case.

Check your car very well, and make sure you don’t have a hole in your pocket.  I had this happen to me once and found it in the back floorboard of the car 2 days later where it had somehow fallen out of my pocket….....

Thanks, Donna, but it’s not there.  It was gone before I ever got in. I took my keys out of my pocket to open the doors and opened the back of the car to put the groceries in.  I found the money missing before I even got into the car.

I called my mom when I got home….“Mom, guess what I did?”  She’s so sweet, she says “do you need money?”  And the first thing I told Brian when he walked in the door, hadn’t even put his lunch bucket up…“Honey, I lost almost fifty dollars today!”

Dinner was good, albeit expensive.  Brian said “we could have gone out to dinner for that much” and I said “yeah, but we’ll probably get three or four meals out of this one.  *lol*

I knew I shoulda used my ATM card.

Thanks, Bobbie. The money is gone.  It had my receipt wrapped around it and my Albertson’s card number was on it. The store would be able to find me that way. Ya know, if I don’t have my card, my phone number works.

That money is gone.  *sigh*

Well, was the world’s most expensive lasagna good?

It was pretty good.  And it will be good the next three times we have it for dinner.  *lol*

I found a dime on our walk this morning.  I handed it to Brian, saying “forty-six dollars and ninety cents to go”.  He found a penny later.  I said “forty-six dollars and eighty-nine cents to go”...

He said “I’m sorry, honey”.
