The topic: It’s been twelve days
----------------------------------------------

Since I started the Lexapro. The first ten days I was really, really tired. I slept a lot. And my stomach was pretty upset, too. But yesterday, I didn't seem to have any of those problems. I'm sleeping a lot better, and I think I have more energy. I was told it takes up to three weeks for its full effect.

I'm not sure about the energy because last Friday, I borked the top of my bunion foot. I'm not sure if it was the loop I put on my bunion toe and put the extension around the toe next to that (I'm pretty sure my foot problems all stem from the bunion) and pulled it (and the toe next to it) straight. It may have affected the muscles and nerves going back to my ankle, the ones on the top of my foot. I only had it on for a couple of hours, so I can't see how it could have done that much damage. It's burny and achy, It's not as bad today as it was this weekend, but it's hard to walk. I just have to wait for it to get better.

Also, the change in the weather brought on my allergies. I tried a generic Zyrtec on Sunday, but I totally forgot that it doesn't work on the symptoms of my allergies (my right ear keeps trying to pop and I grind my teeth to the point that my jaws ache). So, it was back to the generic Benedryl. Which puts me to sleep.

I know that aging sure beats the alternative, but I'd sure like to have some perky days. I want to clean the house, I want to dust and vacuum and wash the walls....

The topic: So, we’re watching television last night
----------------------------------------------

And Lorelei started gakking. It sounds horrible. She was doing it right next to Brian's ear and he jumped up, very concerned. I told him "it's her teeth". She does this every few years and gets to go to the vet and have a dental and have teeth pullled.

I saw her eating kibble off of the patio that was soft from the rain we've been having off and on. I got her to eat a jar of baby food. She had a few tiny pieces of chicken breast earlier. She's sleeping now.

I called the vet and luckily, they're able to get her in on Thursday, so it shouldn't be that bad for her.

Poor kitty.

The topic: I started wading through my paper yesterday
----------------------------------------------

Looking for the perfect combination for some of the card kits I have.

Leo and Mary (SVGCuts) split earlier this year and he's started up his own kit company and has some pretty nice holiday cards and Mary put hers out there a few weeks ago. I got them all, so now I have to decide on colors and embellishments and all of that stuff.

I have a storage container that's supposed to be for solid colors, single sheets (not the cardstock pads). I also had the paper I printed out here in that container. Well, yesterday, I went through what was in there and what a mess. Every piece of scrap from a couple of different projects was in there. Some had very little usable paper, it should have been tossed. Others only had a small portion cut out and that could be put back in with the pad from where it came (like the glitter paper). If it's in the pad, I can use it, if it's in this container, I don't know I have it. I actually have a separate container for scrap. I still need to sort the cardstock by color (again). And put the patterned paper that was pulled from pads back into those pads (before I start cutting I pull out different patterns and colors, not really having decided exactly what I want to use). I found a couple of pieces that were badly cut and the entire 12 x 12 piece of cardstock was ruined. Why did I save those?

I really should get better at taking care of this as I go along, not save it up for a year or so, then do it.

I also got some shimmer spritz with birthday money, I liked it so much I ordered bigger sizes. Two more bottles should be getting here today and I'll practice with those. I think these will accent the snow nicely.

The topic: Props to my husband
----------------------------------------------

My foot has been messed up for over a week. It's almost better. Yay! I'm almost walking normally.

This past week Brian has done the shopping, put the groceries away, taken care of dinner, done dishes, emptied the dishwasher, made the bed....

I sure won the lottery when he asked me out thirty years ago. He's been super awesome this week.

The breakfast he made this morning was probably one of the best I've had in a long time.
