The topic: I’m alive

----------------------------------------------

I’ve just been busy and when I’m not being busy I’m being lazy.

I’ve read three books the past couple of weeks, catching up on my old Stephen King collection.  I buy them when they come out and I just haven’t been reading.  I’m on my fourth right now.

I made a ton of cookies for Christmas and they’re all gone, none left in the house, thank God.

Miss Elizabeth had a followup blood panel done last week, on Tuesday, the day I delivered all of the cookies to the vet’s office. The news was good, she’s put on weight (always a good thing with a CRF cat) and her values are holding steady.

Earlier this year, I ordered a new external hard drive, a Seagate that holds one terrabyte of information.  The intention was to backup all files that I’d never be able to reproduce, say pictures and movies, on it.  On Friday December 19th, I set it up.  Cleaned up the office a bit, made it more pleasant to be in.

On Monday, the 22nd, my movie drive died.  The drive with all of my little tiny kitty movies on it. My little tiny Disney movies.  It’s external and after doing some research, it may just be a failure in the enclosure which is preventing the computer from reading the hard drive.  I ordered a new external case and will move the hard drive from the old one to the new one and pray like hell my information is all there.

The moral of that story is backup! backup! backup!

We had Christmas dinner over at Brian’s mom’s house, it was really nice.  Roast beef, yummy!

This past weekend, I cleaned up the extra room of all wrapping material and Woot booty.  I can once again access the laptop and the old computer. Brian can once again do his five times a week ab-rolling.  I’m seriously considering getting back on the exercise bike and watching the Sopranos again.  *lol* After all, I checked the pedals to make sure they’d freely move when I straightened up in there.

Got some pix for tummy tuesday tomorrow.  Just lost the time last week.

So, that’s it for now!
