The topic: Who dat?

In our back yard this morning.  Not feral.  Male.  Neutered.  Kind of dirty, which would lead me to believe he’s been on his own for a little while, but he just could be somebody’s cat that roams.  Which makes me crazy.

I’ll keep an eye out for posters and “lost cat” ads in the paper.  If nothing appears, we’ve got us a new kitty cat.  Oh, and I’m going to see about taking him in for testing this afternoon.

He’s handsome. Not small by any means, someone’s got to be feeding him. Do you put up notices when you find kitties? How are they all getting in, is it the bad gate you spoke of before? No sign of that black kitty I guess?

No, we don’t put out notices about found cats. Getting a closer look at him, he’s dirty. Not like a cat who goes in at night and is out during the day, but one who’s not well taken care of.

As for eating, don’t forget, we have food out front 24/7, so he could have been eating here for a while, we just never saw him.

And they aren’t getting in through a gate. If they could get in that easily, they could get out. The bad gate is a gate that doesn’t open because the wood is rotted and the gate sags. To get in, these cats HAVE to be going over the barrier. There is no other way.  They have to work at getting into the yard.

Well, all I have to say is thank god for you and Brian! I’m sure these poor, hungry and lonely kitties get a sniff in the air of a safe, loving kitty home and just can’t wait anymore to get in. I know it’s always a hardship to you to take more in but I’m so glad you do. We need a lot more people out there like you guys.
