The topic: Well, I’m sure you’ll agree it’s been a rough couple of months

----------------------------------------------

Losing Benny at the end of January, Brian going up to Tulare, having my website hacked, then declared dangerous, then going to Disneyland, then losing Little Bit...

Well, I found out the night before I discovered my website was declared dangerous, the week before I went up to Disneyland, that my declaw site had been nominated for an award over at cats.about.com. There's no big prize for winning, just the knowledge that I got a ton of people to vote for me. (Facebook is your friend!)

So, if you don't do Facebook, you can still vote. Vote for Educate! Don't Amputate!

The site was at 1% yesterday morning when I started campaigning. Pretty big jump in one day, right? And you can vote every day.

Thanks!

I did not see, or understand what your FB page is…I’ll go vote and have my FB friends vote too…or at least the ones that don’t declaw…I’ve had ‘issues’ with most of them they do!! grrr

I posted this link on my Facebook wall Monday morning and lots of people voted. It was the only place I posted it and it went from 2% in the morning to 20% by late afternoon.

Thanks for voting (and sharing). I’m sorry some of your friends aren’t as enlightened as you. (I blame the vets.)

I lost one friend because of our differing opinions (she didn’t even have a cat when I explained the procedure to her). Then she married a jackass and he insisted. She said it was the claws or the marriage. When she went on vacation and he stayed home, she paid a pet sitter to come in and take care of the animals. He even complained about the dog peeing on the lawn. Oh, well.

On one of her trips out here she said “it’s not so bad” (the declaw). Yeah, that’s why the cats are peeing in your plants and inappropriately, but you never seemed to tell me about the declaw when you were asking for help, did you?

I told her she should have given the cats to us instead of mutilating them.

Brian was so upset, he left the room and went outside.

I never spoke to her again. But it also could have been that I told her that once when she called here and put her husband on the phone, someone I’d never met, he asked me “does your husband eat you out good?”  What? What did you say? He asked it again. She denied it, I told her “you were in the room with him when he asked it”.

OMG! He really said that? What an A$$!

Yeah, I get ‘ignored’ when I start talking declaw. It’s a shame! Hopefully, the USA will someday outlaw it, but that will only happen once the vets figure out how to make more $$ doing something else.
