The topic: We have gopher holes

----------------------------------------------

We have many, many gopher holes in the same area.

We have many, many cats watching these many, many gopher holes.

But the cats have caught no gophers.

We just have more gopher holes.

Brian sez “do your job, kitty cats!”

Be glad yours aren’t into the hunting thing.
I just got back from the vet’s with Tommy AGAIN.
Worms again.  From his rodent kills.

Your cats just prefer to think of it as gopher t.v.

Ha! With all the strays here I have gophers (or moles) too.  I was checking out the garden to see what kind of work it needs and the whole thing is full of holes. The buggers ate the onion bulbs.

The only thing my strays catch are toxoplasmosis infected mice. Those guys are going to start having to earn their meals. Yeah right.

My Mom’s cat Scruffy used to be let outside, and he kept the garden nice and clean of vermin.  But because he is protective of ‘his’ turf, he got into a couple of fights that required expensive vet visits.  He is no longer allowed outside, and the mice (and voles) are eating my daffodils and crocus.

I don’t have no stinking gophers and they can have all my weeds they wanted.

When I was a kid, we had an orange male cat who was an amazing mouser. My father told his friends that the best defense against house mice was a “ball-bearing mousetrap”.  (Think about it a minute!)

Sounds like one of those dastardly kitty-gopher cabals we hear about…and lawn maintenance isn’t on their agenda, sad to say. wink
