Avast! A very fyne Pirate’s Day to you! Hope it was merry and full of grog.
A Pirate Factoid: Did Pirates really use peglegs? No. They would have hurt too much to wear for long….our mateys mostly used crutches.
(well, a bit depressing but true)‘Nother one: Did Pirates wear earrings? Yes, but earrings were popular with other people, too.
Did they drink a lot of Grog? YES!! It was rum and water, without ice.
Bunghole: on a wooden cask on a ship. I had an Olde Auntie (crazy as a loon) who said children should be kept in a barrel and fed through the bunghole till they were 21.

I was Dirty Bess something or other - the pirate everyone wanted to throw overboard because I smelled (?), but I’m a rock (that would chip easily). Alrighty then. I mean, Arrrrrghhh!

lisaviolet is seventy something, married with no kids, takes care of lots of cats, likes taking photographs, loves Southern California weather and spends altogether too much time avoiding her responsibilities.
