tales from the parkside

The topic: This is unexpected

----------------------------------------------

I’m really missing my mom right now. Because of the parade.  Mom loved the Thanksgiving parade. She’d always ask me “are you watching the parade?”

No, I wasn’t. But she never missed one.

And even though we didn’t spend Thanksgiving with her all that often, because of the parade, I’m missing her.  A lot.  My eyes keep tearing up.

Whooda thunk?

Well, mom, wherever you are, I hope you can watch your parade today. I’ll watch it, too and imagine that we’re watching it together.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving, Diane! I’m missing my Mom, too - 18 years now, and I still miss her! Take heart: if God can see all things at all times, then He could see you, your mom, and the parade, all at the same moment…which means that, if your mom did see the parade - and somehow I believe that she did - then you and your mom really WERE watching it together, through the eyes of God! Sorry I can’t explain the concept more clearly, but I know what I mean! Anyway, love to you and to your mom! And to the kitties, of course!!
