The topic: The yard is ready for the garden

----------------------------------------------

The past couple of weeks, Brian has had the gardener in.  Business picked up and he took advantage of it by bringing help in to clean up the yard. Weeds and grass were pulled from areas that were overrun with them and he had bark put down around the pool to keep the weeds down.

He also had the side yard worked on, sprinklers installed and manure spread. As soon as he has a chance, he'll be rototilling the manure into the soil and I can get started planting.

I put a bunch of allysum seeds over on the bank where the ferns had been pulled. And we bought ten pounds of white clover because bees like clover.

I also ordered lavender, because bees like that, too.

I have a couple of different types of tomatoes, some bell pepper and habenaro pepper seeds to plant.  And catnip. There will finally be fresh catnip planted.

I'm trying to think of something else to plant that we'd actually eat. And I think the little bit I mentioned has us covered. Avocado trees are starting to bud. So, I think that covers what types of fresh veggies we actually buy.

This should be fun. And work, it will also be work.
