The topic: The early bird

----------------------------------------------

The early bird catches the worm?  Isn’t that what they say?  Well, the early birds are too smart to catch worms in our yard, because of the early cats.

Around here, it’s the early cat who catches the worm, as Phoebe, mighty worm hunter, can attest to.

They really like it when the worms wiggle.

I ALSO HAVE AN EXTREME WORM HUNTING CAT. WE HAVE NOT HAD WORMS IN OUR BASEMENT SINCE HE ARRIVED ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO. HIS NAME IS MIRAGE AND HE DOES ALWAYS BRING THEM UPSTAIRS TO US AS “GIFTS”. I HAVE HAD MANY CATS BUT NEVER ONE THAT WAS SO GOOD AT WORM CONTROL.

EW! EW! EW!  My black kitty loved all sorts of bugs and critters.  I’d rather not think about which ones got ingested.
