The topic: I took some video of Captain

----------------------------------------------

So you can see his breathing problem. Just in case you're curious. I know I'd probably start checking out my cats' breathing. But it's something that you'll know is wrong when you see it. And it doesn't get much better when he's asleep.

My beloved Leo was diagnosed with this 9 years ago when he was only 5. It began at the start of Labor Day weekend with a mad, frantic dash to the vet’s during high school football traffic. Despite not being able to breathe, he was crying in the carrier and while I was driving, I could see his gums turning blue. Unfortunately he only lasted two more weeks. It’s no fun lying there watching your cat breathe and counting how long it is between them. He was the best cat and I miss him to this day. I feel for you and your husband and am glad Captain has you both.

Thank you. We’ve had two other cats with this, one was Jackie’s father and he had cancer. There was blood in the fluid. He died at the vet’s having it drawn off.

Boney’s heart stopped under anesthesia when he was put under to draw the fluid.

I’m praying we have better luck with Captain.

You have my sympathies on your loss.
