The topic: Healing thoughts for Sagwa

----------------------------------------------

I think he has a sore throat.  He’s been gacking a lot today, just bringing up foam. And it looks like it’s hard for him to swallow.  He seems to be okay when he’s sleeping, I just think his throat hurts.

Please send good thoughts that is all it is.

Thanks.

My darling old cat Sammy (passed at 19 years Dec 28th 2005) used to get tonsilitus a lot.

The vet showed me how to test for it by holding him gently by the scruff of the neck and to run my fingers firmly (But gently) along his jawline (Downwards motion) and to gently squeeze just where the glands are at the area that connects the jaw to the neck - if he coughed/gagged a little it was tonsilitus… I would get him in quick smart for his Clavulox and he would be right within a couple of days…

Anyway - I will send him warm healing thoughts and some loving prayers too!

Take care Sagwa!

Thanks, Kerry, I think it might have been something along those lines.

He’s doing better this morning.

When I went into the garage to get KittyMeeze’s breakfast ready, he was one of the cats who followed.  He started to eat some of the leftover kibble from last night.  I opened a can of Fancy Feast and divided it into three of the bowls and he ate his right down.  He gacked a little, but he didn’t bring anything up, so whatever it was, is resolving.

Doing a search for sore throats in cats yesterday, I found a website that said that cats have six tonsils!  Do you know if this is true?  That’s amazing, if it is.

Geeze, that’s six times the problems!
Glad he’s feeling better today.

Six?  I had no idea!  I wonder why they need so many? (I had two and they gave me no end of trouble until I had them removed at 19 yeeas of age - my surgeon said that they were rotten and should have been removed years earlier…. yeah - I knew that! I had to beg my local doctor for a refereal to the surgeon!)

Anyway - get better soon Sagwa!

Take care Lisa!
